🧒 Early Life and Athletic Foundations

Aaron James Judge was born on April 26, 1992, in Linden, California. Adopted the day after his birth by Patty and Wayne Judge, both educators, he grew up alongside his older brother, John, who was also adopted. From a young age, Judge exhibited exceptional athleticism, excelling in baseball, basketball, and football during his time at Linden High School. Despite being recruited by several colleges for football, he chose to pursue baseball at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), where he played for the Bulldogs and won the 2012 TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby. In the 2013 MLB Draft, the New York Yankees selected him as the 32nd overall pick in the first round.

🏆 MLB Debut and Ascendancy

Judge made his Major League Baseball debut with the New York Yankees on August 13, 2016, and immediately made an impact by hitting a home run in his first at-bat. The following year, he had a breakout season, setting a then-rookie record with 52 home runs and earning the American League (AL) Rookie of the Year award. He also won the Home Run Derby in 2017, becoming the first rookie to do so. Despite facing injuries in subsequent seasons, Judge continued to be a formidable presence at the plate. In 2022, he broke the AL single-season home run record by hitting 62 home runs, surpassing Roger Maris's 61-year-old record. This achievement earned him his first AL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. He secured his second AL MVP award in 2024 after leading the league in home runs and guiding the Yankees to their first World Series appearance in 15 years.
